Affiliate Relationships

EsportsCalendar.io participates in affiliate programs with ticketing platforms and event organizers. When you click on certain links to purchase tickets or merchandise, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

How Affiliate Links Work

• No price difference: You pay the same price whether you use our affiliate link or not
• Editorial independence: Our event listings and recommendations are not influenced by affiliate relationships
• Transparency: Affiliate links are clearly labeled when applicable

Our Affiliate Partners

We work with reputable ticketing platforms and event organizers. Our current partners include major ticketing providers in the esports and gaming industry. We carefully vet partners to ensure they provide quality service to our users.

What We Track

When you click an affiliate link, we record:

• Which event the link was associated with
• The type of link (tickets, merchandise, etc.)
• A one-way hash of your IP address (for rate limiting only, cannot identify you, retained for 30 days then anonymized)
• Timestamp of the click

We do not track:

• Your purchases or purchase amount
• Your personal identity
• Your browsing behavior after leaving our site

Sponsored Content

We display sponsored listings from event organizers and partners who pay to promote their events on our platform.

How Sponsored Listings Work

• Clear labeling: Sponsored content is always marked with a "Sponsored" badge
• Limited placement: We display a maximum of 3 sponsored listings per page to maintain a quality user experience
• Relevant content: Sponsored listings are esports and gaming events that match our platform's focus
• No deception: Sponsored content is visually distinct from organic listings

Privacy for Sponsored Content

For sponsored content, we collect basic impression and click metrics:

• Impressions: How many times a sponsored listing was displayed (aggregate count only)
• Clicks: How many times a sponsored listing was clicked (aggregate count only)
• Context: Where on the site the interaction occurred (e.g., events list, home page)

This data is aggregated and does not identify individual users. We do not use cookies, user identifiers, or cross-site tracking for sponsored content metrics. Sponsored metrics are retained for 90 days.

Partner Data Feeds

We receive event data from partner organizations and platforms to enhance our event listings. This includes:

• Event organizers: Direct feeds from tournament organizers
• Ticketing platforms: Event data from ticketing partners
• Esports leagues: Calendar data from league organizations

All partner-provided event data is reviewed by our team before publication to ensure accuracy and relevance.
